Office 97-2003 Metadata Processor
This script is designed to read metadata from versions of MS Office documents prior to Office 2007 (doc, xls, etc.)
A separate script is available to process later versions of Office documents, which will have file-extensions such as docx, xlsx, pptx, etc.
The script will attempt to process any entry specified by the user that has a signature matching that specified by the Microsoft Compound File Binary Format definition [MS-CFB]. Please note that file extensions are not taken into account.
Output is in the form of bookmarks and a tab-delimited spreadsheet. The user can opt to output the metadata for a given file only if it passes a user-specified condition.
